Papayoo doesn’t follow the rules of a traditional card game. There are no kings or queens, no familiar suits. The goal is very straightforward. Try to end the round with as few points as possible. Certain cards bring penalty points and Papayoo is always the one you want to avoid. Each player starts with a hand of cards, but before playing, everyone passes their hand to the player on their left and receives a new one from the right. This quick exchange often disrupts any plan you had and immediately unbalances the table in a fun way.
Once the round begins, anything can happen. Sometimes a careful player wins by staying alert, and other times a random twist turns the whole situation upside down.
