Stumblewood is a fast paced adventure game where players have only thirty seconds to escape a haunted forest. The board is a maze filled with obstacles and surprises. On each turn, players move through the forest while trying to remember their path and overcome the challenges that appear along the way.
A spiderweb may block the road and can be cut only with a knife. A river requires a careful crossing. A wolf might appear and will step aside only if offered a bone. Many other traps wait for anyone who dares to take a wrong step. If a player gets lost or falls into a trap, they must return to the start. When time runs out, the next player takes their turn and tries their luck.
Stumblewood rewards memory, quick decision making and the ability to stay calm under pressure. The first player to navigate the entire forest and reach the exit wins the game. The others may or may not make it out.
