Squadro Mini is the compact edition of Gigamic’s well known abstract strategy game. The goal is to move four out of your five pieces to the opposite side of the board and back before your opponent does the same. The rules are easy to learn, yet the game quickly becomes a tactical contest shaped by timing and precision.
Each player controls five lanes that intersect the opponent’s lanes at right angles. This crossing is the heart of the game because it ensures frequent encounters. At the start of the game, pieces are placed on the first row. The dots printed on each row indicate how many spaces a piece may advance in a single move. Once a piece reaches the far end of the board, it is turned around. The number of dots on that opposite row defines a different movement value for the return trip.
When a piece moves and reaches a space occupied by an opponent, it jumps over to the next free space. The jumped piece, or multiple pieces in that line, are sent back to their starting positions. These confrontations are not setbacks but essential tactical tools. A well timed push can slow down the opponent and create the opening needed for victory.
The game ends when one player successfully completes the round trip with four pieces. The Mini edition maintains the full rules and experience of the original Squadro while offering a smaller, travel friendly format. The box includes a wooden board, ten wooden pieces, a storage bag and the rulebook.

Squadro Mini and Squadro Classic share the same rules and identical gameplay mechanics, but differ in their physical format. The Mini version is compact and easy to carry, which makes it ideal for travel, outdoor play or quick matches when space is limited. The Classic edition is larger and offers better visibility, greater stability on the table and a stronger overall presence, making it a great choice for home collections.
